Join us for a fun and informative cooking demonstration with

Chef Dale Reitenauer

This fun and entertaining evening will provide you the opportunity to meet the newest chef in the Oley Valley. 

Chef Dale Reitenauer will be demonstrating for us how to create a deconstructed Rueben sandwich on his famous flatbread. 

You will have the opportunity to learn how to make flatbread from scratch, followed by how to construct a

Rueben sandwich in a new way.

 And, of course there will be tasting. 

 This evening will also include information on The Riedenau House, the new restaurant scheduled to open this spring in the

previous Oley Valley Inn location. 

Chef Dale will be discussing his menu using local produce, meats and wines. 

To learn more, here is a little information about Chef Dale Reitenauer's Story:

The surname Riedenau was first found in Prussia, where the name emerged in the medieval times as one of the notable clans/ families in the region.

From the 13th century the surname was identified with the great social and economic evolution which made this territory of Germany a landmark contributor to the development of the German Nation.

The Riedenau House will be re- establishing/ re- opening the Historical Oley Valley Inn this coming Spring under the new ownership. With the concept being 100% Farm to Table/ Pa Preferred. The Chef/ Owner Dale Reitenauer is a 9th generation descendant of the Riedenau clan/ family. He’s looking forward to bringing his 20+ years of cooking knowledge/ experience to the Oley Valley for the community to enjoy. From humble beginning Chef Reitenauer began his career baking/ cooking with Grandmother during his younger years. Once Chef Reitenauer started high school he attended Lehigh Career Technical Institute (LCTI) in Schnecksville, Pa to further his baking/ cooking career. While attending LCTI Chef Reitenauer was apart of SkillsUSA and FCCLA. During his senior year Chef Reitenauer was the Parliamentarian for his FCCLA Chapter and the Treasurer for his SkillsUSA Chapter. Upon graduation from high school Chef Reitenauer then attended Le Cordon Bleu of Pittsburgh in Baking.

The Riedenau House looks forward to opening its doors this coming spring with a very food forward menu for the foodies of the Oley Valley area and beyond.
