The Committee is focused on the advancement of the Foundation’s mission by encouraging and facilitating community involvement, fostering community outreach initiatives, partnering with area businesses and organizations to establish and maintain relationships, and bringing the Foundation and community together in mutual interest. The Committee identifies potential opportunities for community partnership, serves as liaisons between the Foundation and area businesses and organizations, advises and updates the Board on opportunities and recommendations for support and ongoing initiatives. The Committee meets three times a year in February, May, and October.

The Development Committee is responsible for coordination/running the various fundraising activities of the Foundation. These activities include the Foundation’s Annual Campaign, Stone Auction, Cornhole Tournament, Zackon 5K, and Golf Tournament. It is also responsible for identifying other fundraising events as appropriate. The Committee is also responsible for identifying potential contributors and coordinating efforts to connect with these potential contributors. Sub-committees may be formed to run/coordinate these events. The Committee meets as often as necessary to carry out its duties and accomplish its goals.

This Sub-Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating the Golf Tournament, which includes scheduling a golf course to hold the event. The committee is also responsible for soliciting business sponsorships for the event, obtaining prizes for the winners, raffles and silent auction, as well as marketing the event to attract participants. In addition, the committee organizes the volunteers for the event. The committee meets as needed during the planning phase of the event.
